I will be leaving my home in Washington on Thursday 3/26. 16hrs later I'll be there. This will be my first Moab experience in a Jeep. I'll be there till 4/4 or 4/5. If I get the trails I want I'll be on the trail 3/28 for fins and things and 3/30 for poison spider&where eagles dare.
The only people I know who wheel I work with and they aren't letting a whole a shift of millwrights take vacation at the same time. I won Rock Paper Sissors so it's my time. My son is coming down from Montana to ride along with me. I've wanted to make this trip since I was in my early 20's and had my first Jeep. Here it is 25ish years later and I finally have the opportunity to scratch this off my bucket list.
I will be on a solo-ish mission. I was hoping to find people to possibly hang out with. I have years off road driving experience and a capable rig.

I rode my Harley to Sturgis for the 75th. So I'm leaning heavy on driving my Jeep to Moab for the 60th.

Wow after reading that I need to expand my life some and switch to day shift. Years of night shift ruins ones social life it seems. I don't think I'm as pitiful as I make me sound but maybe.

I will be attending. I just completed my registration and have my list of confirmed trails. I will be there for the whole week, but I'm only doing 4 official trails this year. The other days will be open to do trail rides with other forum members if we set up a trail ride. If not, I will spend those days exploring on my own or seeing the national parks.

Saturday 3/28: Hotel Rock
Sunday 3/29: Gold Bar Rim
Monday 3/30:
Tuesday 3/29:
Wednesday 4/1: 3D Pickle
Thursday 4/2: Devils Racetrack
Friday 4/3:
Saturday 4/4:
Sunday 4/5:

I was at Moab two weekends ago. Why??? I love it and I am only a little over 2 hours away. I can go all the time. For that reason, I will skip the crowd. Can't stand the idea of wading through a 100 4x4's on a trail, waiting an hour for a table at a restaurant, or just dealing with the mass number of people.

I'm a bit jealous. If I were 2 hours away, I'd probably avoid it during EJS, too.

However, being in the Seattle area and having never been to Moab before, I'll join EJS and just try to avoid some of the crowds...except out on the trails where I'm sure there will be large, slow groups.

I plan to leave Seattle possibly Thursday after work or else Friday super early and will stay thru the following Friday.
Im registered for a run every day...probably too much, but it'll get me more accustomed to the trails and area. Im excited about this trip.

Fins and Things - March 28, 2026
3-D - March 29, 2026
Tommyknocker Trail - March 30, 2026
Hells Revenge - March 31, 2026
Behind The Reef - April 1, 2026
Devil's Racetrack - April 2, 2026
Seven Mile Rim - April 3, 2026

I will be on the Devil's Racetrack trail with you on April 2nd. I'm looking forward to meeting some other forum members.

You will enjoy Moab. Last year the EJS didn't seem as crowded. We didn't have 100+ 4x4s on the trails I did, and there were no 1 hour waits at restaurants. There is a lot of traffic on main street, but 99% of them are overbuilt Jeeps, so it is fun to see the show. Hopefully this year will be the same.

If you want to meet folks from this forum in the Seattle area before heading to Moab, some of us are going on a snow run in Elbe next Saturday, 24 Jan. Meet up at the Plaza Market 365 in Eatonville. It "should" be a relatively easy day.

That would be great. I'll check my schedule and see if thats a maintenance weekend.

Sorry, I should have cross posted here about the event. The Club feature is only half-baked and does not work well. Everyone should have access but doing things over there doesn't always work well or is not easily found.

Since there is not really any fresh snow, the options to snow wheel are limited. There was some discussion on club event page of just going over Snoqualmie pass, but that doesn't appear to be promising either. I guess I'll just cancel the event and try and set up a snow wheeling trip for later.
