@Rhinebeck01 created a thread to show how easy it is to reset. That got me to thinking about why would you need to?
As far as I can tell, the ibs is a State of Charge device. The only time it needs to be reset is when something happened to the battery soc that the sensor did not see.
That being the case, I don't see this being a frequent need.
External events would be directly attaching to the battery and using power. This is why a ground should never be placed on the battery, but always on the frame.
I have searched and see no evidence of a sign or symptom of normal requirements to reset. It's easy to do, but not something that should be done just for the heck of it.
Looking for answers as to when it will help.
