I'll toss my $0.02 in. Mopar beadlock capable with the trim rings powder coated to match.

I'm running Vision Nemesis 17x9 with 4.5" BS, bought them from Discount Tire. They have a removable ring (16 bolts, which are included) which is a polymer/resin type of material. I used primer, Mopar Mojito spray paint, and clear coat to paint them myself. Prior to painting, I used a medium and then fine scotchbrite type sanding pads to remove any glaze and then acetone to clean them.

How did these hold up to daily use?

They hold up just fine. The paint sticks as well to these as to metal rings. Paint has rubbed off where rocks have scraped them, but that is to be expected and would do the same to metal rings. Overall, I'm glad I went with these versus ones with a metal ring. They're lighter, easy to paint and won't rust.

First pic is one year after I painted them and numerous trails, to include the Rubicon trail. Second pic is about 3 years after painting, they've never been touched up or repainted.

I bought mine from Discount Tire. At the time, they had the best price around. If you have a Discount Tire nearby, they'll price match.

EDIT: Factory lug nuts won't work, I use splined lug nuts.

Also just ordered vision nemesis with 37 bfg km3. Thinking I’ll use plastic dip and paint them white, silver or red. Now just waiting on a friend to bring them to Kansas. Labor Day can’t come soon enough.

Hi,

Just found few more wheels with rash rings.

The hybrid versions of those Relations Race Wheels (RRW) have rash ring and beadlock options.

https://www.relationsracewheels.com/collections/jeep-wrangler-jk-jl
https://www.relationsracewheels.com/products/v2-billet-protection-ring-for-hybrid-wheels

And it looks like ICON Alloy offers the rash ring for some models too.

These ones for Alpha, Comperession and Rebound

And for the RECON PRO

Hi,

I hope you don't mind a question about your wheels.

Does Dirty Life provide different rings? Is the rash ring the same as the beadlock ring? Is there also an simulated beadlock ring? Looking on Dirty Life's website, it appears that everything listed as options is the "simulated" type.

I like the look of the wheels, and I'm looking for the rash ring. I'm just a little confused how to order the correct ring.

There may be times in the future that I would like to have the beadlock feature; but, for now, I am interested in the rash ring idea to protect the wheel in the rocks.

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Jeff
Hey Jeff
The simulated beadlock ring comes standard with the wheel and the actual beadlock ring is optional. They also have a optional plastic rash ring that is a little different then standard simulated ring. Not sure you need that IMO. Here is a pic of how mine came in the box. Simulated ring only...

Hi, I am looking at installing some sort of rash protection for my Method 305's. I was thinking about 3D printing something myself, but then I saw your photo.

I notice that the outer edge of these wheels is very similar to the Method 305's, and has 24 bolts which look identical to the MRW bolts.

What's your opinion on this? I really like the look of your protection rings and designing them from scratch myself would be take a lot more time, trial and error, and I doubt they would be this nice!

Good question. Not sure I could give you a good answer if they would work or not. Maybe contact a dirty life dealer to see if you could get you hands on one of the simulated rings. Sorry couldn’t be more helpful

No problem at all. Thanks anyway! I'll give that a try. If I manage to get an answer I'll post it here...

Taking some ideas from the earlier posts, I managed to design wheel protection rings for the Method 305 wheels. I used 3D printed PLA and divided each wheel into 8 sections, so that any damaged sections are replaced easily.
