Hi all, Currently I have AEV wheels which have a backspacing of 5.77. I’m still deciding on what lift kit to get. Probably will go with a metalcloak 2.5 in game changer. I noticed that I need around 4.5 in of backspacing to run this lift with 35s and get a good articulation, if I install 1.75 spacers and bring the backspacing down to around 4in would that cause too much stress on the axle and bearings components?

Thank you

I'd look for a 1.25" spacer, this will keep your scrub radius down vs. a 1.75" spacer (less negative impact on your steering), and would be better overall regarding your wheel bearing/axle concerns.

I wouldn't do this unless you want to cut the wheel studs shorter. That's why people run synergy and spidertrax spacers at 1 5/8" or 1 3/4" length.

Not positive but thought I read somewhere the AEV wheels have indentations that would allow the thinner spacer studs. Does anyone know this to be true?

There’s a lot of jeeps here with AEV wheels surely lots of them have ultra flexy suspensions

Good to know, like @hoag4147 mentioned, some wheels may have those recessed pockets to allow room for those studs but ???

Anyone knows of some 1.25-1.5 in good quality spacers?
