My first guess is usually a dealer installed tracker but commonly on the drivers side. What’s under the tape on the black box?

Looks like an inline fuse holder, pink fuse & all.

DIY fuse holder installation, with apparent butt connections.

Pink is usually 4 amp, as the number on the fuse itself will confirm.

OP: You're not the original owner, we'd guess? If so, do you know what electrical accessories the prior owner(s) installed on the vehicle?

Thank you all the answers! I have plenty of light accessories, none of which I have installed myself…but having just come from the mechanic who suggested I need an engine swap…I was a bit suspicious seeing this thing dangling that wasn’t there begore

I have Quake LED rear lights, side vent turn signals, VIOFO 2 channel camera with exterior rear camera…

85,600…and suggested a new motor…
I’ll double check with the dealer just in case as I have an extended warranty on it.
