While installing the AutoStop Eliminator today; I found an extra module, wrapped up cable with a receptacle, and a wiring harness connector next to the OBD port that ties into that module. I am not sure what it is, but it appears not to be connected at the moment.
I included some pictures to see if anyone can figure it out.
Tomorrow I will attempt take another look to see if there is any writing on the connectors or module.

Not sure what the unconnected hanging 8 slot wiring connector is for that ties into the back of the OBD port wiring. There is a shrouded unconnected male connector up above that is for something.
Below is a picture of a module w/green symbol that is tie wrapped onto the metal cross framing inside the lower dash panel.

probably a loJack or some sort of GPS / cell tower connected tracker that dealership installed, like the other poster commented.

Google Image Search says Ikon Technologies GPS tracker.

Not always accurate but often if you put an image of an unknown object in the search you will get a plausible answer

Dealers use them to track inventory. Then they try to sell it as a “security system”. They pay about $50 apiece for them, then they try to charge $500-1500 as an “addendum”. Almost every vehicle on large dealership lots will have them.
