Thanks Gregj. I wonder if it bowed up from heat expansion or something. I’m confident that it’s causing 90% of the creaking noise, because it stops when I push it down.Definitely not useless, it is part of the SOT. Don’t know why it is bent up, usually lays flat on the sports bar.

Can you tell if yours is fastened down with anything?
Any suggestions how I might do that?
Can't stop staring at the empty McDonald's bag in the back. I'm a neat freak and this gives me anxiety ?Definitely not useless, it is part of the SOT. Don’t know why it is bent up, usually lays flat on the sports bar.

That bar is only fastened to the top, somehow yours appears to be bent. Who knows how that happened. If it were mine I would take the top loose and raise it up and try to bend it back down. Here is a picture of mine, (hanging in my storage, I made sure there are no crumbs in the picture to stress anyone). Thanks Gregj. I wonder if it bowed up from heat expansion or something. Haha thank you! I can say with complete confidence that they achieved nothing whatsoever!![]()
those in red? That looks like ridges on the underside of the bar. Mine is an early top and there were complaints of noise with them so maybe they added those ridges to stiffen the bar?
