What is this part that looks useless?

I just picked up a used 2021 JLU Rubicon… trying to isolate a creaky rattle from the sound bar area. I put the sky one touch top back and found this odd plastic bar that goes cross the top of the sound bar. It’s bowed upwards and looks completely useless. Any ideas about that part or what else to look for?

Definitely not useless, it is part of the SOT. Don’t know why it is bent up, usually lays flat on the sports bar.

You may surprised how loose the screws are that hold the speaker covers on.

Is the SOT generally pretty creaky? I wonder there’s actually a problem to be solved.

Both of ours are pretty quiet, check all the bolts along the sports bar for tightness.
