There aren't any new Punk'ns though either. Sometimes Jeep reuses colors by renaming them (Dozer/Nacho). It'd be interesting to see what the paint code is or what that window sticker says. Maybe Punk'n is back, who knows. I can kinda see that, but digital photos can really skew shades of a color quite a bit.
In the not too distant past, manufacturers would make a limited short run of a color, maybe 500-1000, and ship them out to dealers to gauge public interest. The color would not be on the order books or listed as an option. I biught a new GMC truck in '94 that was one of those colors. It was a dark teal green. about 6 months later GM came out with a similar shade, just somewhat lighter.
