That sounds like something grinding or dragging on a pulley while rotating.
Try slightly accelerating the gas while pushing the brake & see if your mysterious noise changes pitch.

I’m not sure, I haven’t tried it but I was only wondering if a slight increase in RPMs would change the pitch/speed of the sound.

Doesn't the electronic throttle control prevent gassing and braking at same time?

Mine does the same, I believe it's the electric assisted steering.

Maybe the Electric Vacuum Pump is making that noise. Although, I don't think that it is normal for the pump to activate every time that the brake pedal is depressed. Engine vacuum is normally high at engine idle speed. I suppose that you could have a leak in the brake booster vacuum system or a bad sensor that may cause the pump to cycle every time that the brake pedal is depressed.

“The Electric Vacuum Pump (EVP) system is installed to provide supplemental vacuum to the brake booster when the engine vacuum supply is low. The vacuum pump is connected to the engine and the brake booster through a series of hoses and one-way flow check valves.”

The technician at the dealer found that the vacuum pump is making noise. They will be replacing.

Thank you everyone for your input and help
