Weird JL Fender Chop LED issue

I have a JL 2 Dr 3.6 that I put a set of KBD fender flares on a few years ago. I had an issue with the drivers side fender LED blinking randomly.

I added a load equalizer as mentioned in the instructions. The flickering never when away, but all functions were normal.

Here is the weird part.

I ordered a replacement set of LEDs from KDB thinking it was bad light.

After replacing LED, the flickering is gone, but the light only comes on when in accessory mode or off. When ignition is running LED does not work.

Any thoughts?

Are you talking about DRL, the marker lights when the headlights are on, turn signals, or some combination when you say it doesn’t work?

sorry, yes the fender DRL. The turn signals and hazards work just fine within the LED.

Was it originally factory halogen? You can use Jscan to set Signals / DRLs to LED.
