Weird grinding and overall engine struggling when starting up?

Hey all, has anyone ever had this happen? My wrangler is in the shop and the dealership gave me this brand spankin new 2026 Rubicon and it did this when starting it twice today. That weird noise was almost at like the pace of a horse galloping or something if that makes sense. The first time I turned it on, it did that, then turned over, then went back to the weird noise 3x before I shut it off. This time only the once and since hasnt. But now im like uhhhh should I drive it?

Sorry for my reaction LOL I have never heard anything like this before.

Does not sound right, for sure. But it’s a loaner, right? So theoretically you have two options:
1. Drive it and wait for it to grenade, which it might not.
2. Go back to the dealer and tell them to give you a different loaner.

as to where or what the noise is: hard to tell from the video. Could be anything from lose bolts and hangers to failing timing chain.

Yep, it's a loaner! Ill probs let them know about it when they call me with an update tomorrow. If im gunna need a loaner for a longer period of time I will probs ask for something else
