Back when I was at Easter Jeep Safari back in April, someone told me a bolt was sitting on my front steel bumper skid plate. At first I thought someone was pulling my leg. I mean, strange that all four pieces of a Warn EVO VR 10s mounting nut/bolt would come loose and survive all the bumps and still be there.
Seemed like a practical joke: “Well I totally disassembled my front end and didn’t find any missing nuts or bolts”…whole the guy laughed from behind a tree. So I held on to the nut/bolt.
So I recently had to relocate my Fox 2.0 steering stabilizer, which was part of Mopar’s latest recision of their 2” lift. Once I removed the front bumper skid plate, I peeked at the four mounting bolts holding the winch. Holy moly, one *is* missing. So he was not pulling my leg. If youre on this forum, thanks!
I had 4WP (forget which, I think it was in MC) install the winch and it’s held up beautifully over a couple dozen rescues, so I’m not sure how to get the nut/bolt back on. There doesn’t seem to be a way to get the nut in place to screw the bolt into. I guess Ill see if there’s a trick to it. I don’t mind giving it a shot, if it pans out well (meaning I don’t end up duck taping it).
