Virtually longer or shorter wheelbase?

I'm trying to figure out what this guy means when he says that you can virtually make the car have a longer or shorter wheelbase. It's at about the 4:00 mark.

I think he means you can modify the turning radius, which would normally be impacted by wheelbase?

Maybe? But I'm not even sure how it'd do that unless it's related to his comment about being able to run three wheels in one direction and the fourth in another.

Maybe dragging a tire like the Tazer can do.

Well, like I said, that car can do significantly more than just drag a tire. It has independent control over each, so they can go in different directions at different speeds.

Still doesn't really say anything about elongating the wheelbase.
