I have a JLUR that came with Halogen lights. I switched out the headlight for a complete OEM LED and the running lights to LEDs and bought a Mopar steel bumper that came with LEDs.

The headlights work find. The fogs will not come on at all. The DRLs in the fenders only the left one stays on. The right one comes on when I switch the lights off and then on just to the running lights, then to the headlights and they stay on for a while but intermittently switch off (just the right one).

I"ve had the Jeep to the dealer. They can't get the fogs to turn on. Again, the fogs are completely OEM with the Mopar bumper. The DRLs in the fenders have me stumped. The left one runs fine. The right one only comes on when manually switched sometimes and then only for a while. Very odd situation.

I purchased a Tazer thinking I might be able to fix. I've set the DRLs to LEDs with it but still not working.

Did you cut or splice any wires?

No, just unplugged the originals and plugged the LEDs in. The odd thing is they will come on and work sometimes if I manually turn the lights off and then back on. The other weird thing is even with the lights manually turned of the left DRL stays on as it should but the right one turns off.

Is it an easy swap out? Maybe stupid but if so, I would be tempted to put the halogens back in and confirm all is working. If so, then maybe try again.

Check each plug, undo the the harness connection and inspect them for bent pins.

When I switched to LED fogs on Jeepeto II things were wonky when I first did the install and set the Tazer to LED. I ended up using to tazer to set the lights back to halogen, did the full reset, and then back to LED with a full reset and it fixed everything and I never had any issues again. Idk if it will fix your problem but might be worth a shot

Is the lighting sensor on the dash good?
The fogs should only come on manually or after dusk.

I know it may sound dumb and it should be a universal fit... but did you try putting the plug in the opposite way. Same issue and that was my fix.

Yes, tried it both ways.

Here is further information...

For some reason, the right light has apparently forgotten it is a DRL. Only the left light comes on when all lights are manually switched off. When I switch on the park lights manually the right one comes on and stays on. When I switch to headlights it stays on. When I switch to automatic headlights it stays on as long as the headlight is on. As soon as the the headlight goes out, it turns off. Very odd...

I may have to try that. Since everything was working before the Start/Stop battery and main battery were replaced by the dealer if it is possible when they put the new battery in if maybe they did something to the computer.

I had a FlashCal installed for the larger tires but that was it. Everything was working fine for a couple of years. It was only after the dealer replaced the batteries that things got wonky.

I now have Tazer I decided to try to see if it would fix the lights. It didn't but it did take care of the Start/Stop system by turning the button into a toggle that remembers it's last state. That alone will save me the cost and trouble of replacing the Start/Stop battery ever so often (I'm on my third).

Question, my dealer doesn't mind the Tazer, but would it prevent them from programming the fogs to LEDs? I also tried using the Tazer and set the fogs to LEDs but they still don't work.

And probably a stupid question... you are going through the complicated process of 'marrying' your taser and doing the cycling the vehicle on/off a couple times properly? It's been awhile so I don't remember the instruction details. I'm sure you have but this was a head scratcher for me. Never felt confident.

Yes, great question...I did.

Now...here's another really weird thing....

My right fender DRL only comes on when the headlights are turned on, either manually or via the auto feature. The right DRL will not stay on if the headlights are not on. The left DRL works all the time as it should. I'm so perplexed here...It's almost as if the vehicle computer is faulty or the settings have become corrupted.
