USB causing stereo to shut off

I have tried new cables and both usb plugs and the power shuts off and resets the stereo every time I use it with my iphone so I stopped using it and just go with blue tooth connect. I have the 5.0 standard stereo, you know the one that fades in and out when its on the radio and you go behind a building or under a bridge. Any help would be great. Thanks

I don't think it's specific to your USB... it's a known issue & it happened to me twice this past Saturday. I'm on the 8.4 and a Tazer JL reboot resolved for the time being.

Did the tazer JL reboot result in your SXM being lost and having to call them to get it back up and running?

Why would you think this? All Tazer JL does is reboot the radio. No settings, etc. get lost or changed during reboot.

When I “reboot” my radio by pulling fuse f97, my SXM gets reset and I have to call to get it set back up again.

Negative, captain. I've had no problems after the reboot.

If I can get a 100% confirmatation the tazer won’t void my warranty id get one for sure. I have read most of Rhinebeck01s post on how the dealer can tell it could have been used when unteathered, but I’m still slightly concerned it would be an issue.

My audio has been cutting in and out for weeks now. 5 trips to the dealership so that their techs can be told by Chrysler’s tech that there is a problem with U Connect s latest software update and they are working on a fix. Until then , it’s rough luck. Even after explaining I have a life time extended warranty. They said I have to wait for fix. Very simple. I have a warranty. Give me a new stereo. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. So I have to go without a stereo until they decide to release a fix? 55 grand for a new JL and 3500 for a lifetime extended warranty. Absolutely embarrassing.

I will have the dealer look at it when I have time, i have had it in for the stereo losing the radio station and they replaced my antenna base but that did not halp any I still lose the station whlie driving. with that said the dealer is looking into it but that was about 1& 1/2 months ago and I have not heard anything back since.

I just bought a 19 JLU and im having the same issues! Did this ever get solved for you? Or any advise
