Weird CarPlay issue on '25 RubiX. When CarPlay is connected, the driver's side speakers randomly turn on and off for about 5-10 seconds. This only occurs to the driver side speakers. When CarPlay is NOT connected, everything work fine.

I think it has something to do with announcements, but I can't figure it out. Anyone else come across this issue?

Certain apps will cause that issue. Try closing everything that is running and see if it continues. Pay attention to what you have running afterwards and you will probably see what apps cause your issue.

Hope that helps…

Yep almost certainly some app issue, I've experienced something similar in the past and had to change some settings to get it fixed.

Now that I think about it you're not using audible are you?

That app specifically does some funky ass shit and when you combine it with some kind of navigation app it gets even weird sometimes at least for me it always has. Across multiple vehicles multiple years you can definitely get some funky behavior out of it.

IIRC some announcements are only done with the driver side speakers. Next time this occurs attempt to turn the volume up. It should increase the volume of the announcer to let you know what's going on. Some apps can also cause this.

As far as for repairs the head unit is carplay certified. This means that any issues that occur during carplay are either device related on apple software related. I've noticed some carplay bugs come and go with IOS updates. The most recent one is carplay no longer remembers the previous opened app and defaults to homescreen after a cold boot
