Upgraded reverse light bulbs?

I looked at the Oracle led bulbs that replace Halogens. I hate T-taps , garbage why to tie into a wire. Don't do it !

Ok, sorry for the confusion but the factory LED lights are sealed units, there is no way to change out anything in them. If you were interested in changing the entire light out then our Flush LED tail lights feature an insanely bright reverse light.

Ahhhh, I didn't realize these WEREN'T compatible with the factory LEDs. Makes sense now.

Isn't that for the aux. backups ? Why did you link to the bulb conversion use T-taps?

The reverse lights do not use t-taps. You are referring to the resistor for the turn signals.

They don’t list any bulbs specific for JL’s, but they do sell the exact bulb size if you search for it. I’ve used them in all of my vehicles for a few years and they’re insanely bright and reliable.

Haha, You are trying to change the nerrative. I was talking about the replacement LED bulbs. You need to watch your own install guide which shows a resistor being T-Taped into the wiring. Your install guide video is in this link below.

I understand what you are referring to but that step is not for the reverse lights (the Topic of this Thread) it is for the turn signal bulbs.

Yes, but the "bulb installation guide" video covers multiple bulb installations on the JL. The portion of the video that references the resistor you are referring to is not related to the installation of the reverse light, it is for the turn signal LED. The LED reverse light bulbs are Plug-and-Play no need for resistors, taps, etc.

That is probably one of the most misleading install videos Ive seen then.

At no point does it mention the turn signal or that the resistors are not needed for the reverse bulb. It shows how to replace the reverse bulb and immediately states to install resistors and then reinstall the housing.

Had I bought these bulbs, I would have added resistors because your video clearly instructs you to with zero mention of a turn signal.

Do you need a resistor ? Oracle install video looks good until the T-Tap resistor part at the end. The resistor is not shown or mentioned as part of the $39. Guess you have to source your own.

It was a direct swap with the OEM light bulbs. Haven’t had any issues

I have these!!! And they are insanely bright! I have no complaints what so ever! Would definitely buy them again!
