Nice to hear, I'm going to get those same pads soon, I think w/ the stock rotors they should still be a nice upgrade in stopping power, and like you I don't care about excessive dust, that's a great tradeoff for better braking IME.I have a Sport S without the HD brakes. There was a noticeable difference between my JL and my JT in braking force. Not as responsive, and much more pedal force required to get the same amount of braking. Not wanting to do an entire brake kit, I went with the Hawk LTS pads and Hawk Talon rotors. They’re noisy, very dirty, but provide a significant improvement in performance. They feel very similar to the JT’s brakes now.
Granted, this is at the expense of them throwing a lot of dust, significantly reduced life, and noise at light application, but the performance is worth it for me.
Drilled/ slotted rotors aren’t the best choice for an off road vehicle, but I haven’t had an issue with mud yet. Greatly reduced fade on high speed stops though.
