I remove the passenger side kick panel to use the grounding point and found this loose wire that wasn't connected to the other aux wires anybody have an idea of what this is?

Do you have the aux switches?

Yes, but this single wire is not with the Aux wire bundle?
If I remember correctly Greg, there should be six wires down there: one each for the four aux switches, one switched with the ignition and one unswitched.

It looks more like a hose than a wire. It appears to have a hole in the end.

Its a wire, thats the end cap like on the Aux wires. Maybe it is part of the Aux system, but it wasn't taped up with the rest of the wires.

Perhaps, it just wasn't bundled up with the rest of them.

Trailer brake control signal wire. Present in them all, trailer tow package or not. If you have the tow package there is another connector on the drivers side under the dash for the brake controller.

If you peel the tape back further you will find a dark green/white wire found in this diagram.

Oh yeah, now I see the shiny end cap. Sorry

Yes! It is green with white stripe. So it is a brake light signal wire?
