Guys, ordered a 2021 Willys...to my surprise the standard plastic bumper cannot accept a grill guard . My goal was to get the grill guard, add 2 KC lights and call it a day. Now, I would need to get a steel bumper, lights, grill guard which will be a few grand...so my question is, are these lights worth getting? I do not off road, and figure I could save a small fortune...thoughts....they seem like a nice addition

I wanted an old school look (e.g., round KC Dayliters), so I used the Mopar bumper mounts (that actually mount to the frame behind the bumper).

Something you might consider...

Wow. Stupid question. I guess it does not matter if the bumper is plastic, correct? What is the part number? I like the look of yours. I just did not think it was possible. Thank you!

Mopar part number is 82215428.

I am running stock Sport S plastic bumper; the mounts fit/look great with KC Daylighters, but clearances are tight, and I had to drill out the light mounting hole to fit the KC Daylighter mounting stud (I also modified the light shock mount to raise the lights a little).

The install is involved for such a simple mod...you have to remove (easy) the grill for access, enlarge 4 existing holes in the frame (Wrangler; Gladiator install is different) by drilling them out, applying rust preventative to the resultant bare metal, then install nutserts for the mounting bolts.

Also, be prepared for cutting up the plastic bumper filler, if you choose to reinstall it (I did, but modified the cuts from the instructions).

For a better fit and more lumens, check out the LED Slimlites from KC. They will mount in that location as well and wont break the bank.

I wonder if the Mopar lights have the same modifications if installed? Or is it the KC lights?

Mopar is bulky like the day lighters but should fit as well. The 4” version for sure will. But they are twice the price of the KC. If price is no issue, check out Baja Designs LP4.
