Hi,

Before I got my 2024 Jeep, I could have sworn I read that in the Uconnect5 menu I could protect all of my Uconnect option settings from being changed by anybody sitting in the vehicle. For instance, service mechanics or children. But, now that I have my Jeep and want to do that, I can't find any info on this, nor can I seem to google the right words to find it.

Did I dream it? Is there a way to prevent unauthorized changes using the menu? If so, how?

Thanks!

This is so bizarre. While I waited for any replies to this thread, I went out to my Jeep in the garage, placed it in ACC, never started the engine, and set some options.

I came back to my email inbox two see two emails as follows:

BOUNDARY ALERT

Dear Jay,

Your Jeep Wrangler 4-Door departed the designated Boundary area at 14:53:17 on 18-Feb-2024.

Manage your Drive Alert settings from the Jeep® app.

BOUNDARY ALERT

Dear Jay,

Your Jeep Wrangler 4-Door arrived in the designated Boundary area Home Geofence Jeep at 14:55:55 on 18-Feb-2024.

Manage your Drive Alert settings from the Jeep® app.

I never started the engine! I never moved the vehicle! I don't recall seeing or addressing any option on my Uconnect5 menu that had anything to do with a geofence!

Neither did I open my cell phone app. It stayed in my pocket the entire time.

Any thoughts on what went on there? I did use the app to create a geofence around my garage several days ago. But I did not move my Jeep today.

I logged into my Jeep.com app on my cell phone and It newly showed a Report - Vehicle Health tile and clicking on that it says I'm due for an oil change. At 118 miles?

Strange app, indeed.
