UConnect update on 7" system

Given all this talk about the over-the-air update push, I was curious about a couple of things.
1) What exactly do these updates deliver? Is it just NAV, or are other features getting added?
2) Is there any way for the 7" units to get updated, say perhaps at the dealership?

1) For the 8.4" maybe, but not the 7"

2)The 7" units are updated through the USB port with a flash/thumb drive. However, 99% of the time the dealership does the updating because new firmware/software updates are rarely posted on the Uconnect website.

I've had two different updates/fixes on my 7" done by the dealership. These same updates never showed up on the Uconnect website.
