UConnect help needed

Just picked up a new JL Willys 6MT and drove it across the country. Generally very pleased with the thing except for a couple of minor quirks:

1. Upon vehicle restart: can I make the Uconnect to just keep quiet and not to attempt to tune to the FM station that went out of range 200 miles ago?
2. If the audio source is off and screen is turned off, it goes blank completely. Is there an option of having the screen to stay with the clock only upon restart and no audio of any kind?
3. Can I make XM disappear from all menus and sub menus for good forever?
4. Somewhere mid trip the message popped up: the "system is being updated, do not drive", or something like that. I thought LOL, and just kept going. It updated whatever it was updating anyways. Can I prevent this from happening without my prior consent?

You can get XM for like $5/month and it's awesome for road trips I think. Easier than losing a good FM station every hour, and works with no cell service.

For #2, I think there's an option for a clock only when screen off.

For #4, do a soft reset so make sure everything is good post-update via holding the power button for like 15 seconds (till it goes blank)

For #1 I thought this was a setting but i don't remember where. But it goes back to what you were last doing, so maybe leave it on like phone Bluetooth or something when not listening to anything?
