It’s driving me nuts. Had a Clayton lift professionally installed about six months ago. The noise is comming from the drivers side front, almost under my left foot. Jeep has been back to the shop twice to be checked and re torqued, but knocking noise still persists. Although it never makes the noise when it’s back at the shop. Noise happens just turning out of a driveway, or gentle low speed braking for an intersection etc. Sounds like a light tap of a hammer to the frame. Sometimes it stops for days on end. Have checked the front end twice, all joints etc. are good, no movement, shocks tight, drives perfect. Silent driving straight, over bumps etc.
