Hello friends. My 2018 Wrangler Sahara knocks when i start the egnition. The dealer told me that this is "normal" but im not buying it. I am also having some knocking coming from what I felt like was the tramsission. I took my Wrangler in to the dealership due to concern and they checked it out and confirmed that it was coming from the transmission. They said it was "normal" again and i just dont feel comfortable with that. They confirmed my complaint which is " vehicle had an intermittent slight knocking noise when the vehicle performs a 4-3 shift. Noise was coming from the center of the vehicle. Lifted the vehicle and checked for loose parts and leaks but found none, check for flash updates but found none. test drive another like Jeep Wrangler and found it made the same noise on the 4-3 shift. Noises coming from the transmission, the noise is caused from the internal clutch C engaging and clutch D disengaging. this causes free play in the driveline, when clutch C and D are completely done with the movement the noise is created"
Basically when slowing down the vehicle transmission knocks just before shifting from 4th to 3rd gear. (auto transmission - 8 speed)
Is anyone else having this issue and can anyone provide guidance? Any feedback is much appreciated
