Having gone back and forth through tires I finally decided on the 38 inch nitto trail grapplers
They look great. I’m on 410s still protecting by pinion. My prior tire was a smaller 37 (35.7 mounted) these 38 are 37 inch mounted.

Hey guys. We ran the Rubicon trail for the 2nd time last weekend in my JLU.
We had no issues and the jeep did great on 37s with the 4.5 inch rock krawler lift.
However, there was a section where my rear passenger tire was dragging from time to time.
It would do it every 5-6 seconds. And it...
Less than 200 miles. Shocks are super soft and show little dampening.
i have RKadjustable control arms, rock krawler 4.5 inch coils. RK track bar. Proper bumps.
I have a run scheduled to the RUBICON trail next week.
I was looking at the Ultimate Dana 60 as they have the best price. But the axle width is an issue at 68.5 inches. Going to need at least 70 for the 40s and up
Ultimate Dana 60s are 16k. Dynatrac 20k plus. Curries 18k. Doesn’t include 8 lug wheels and new drive shafts. There is no comparison on cost unless you build them in your garage
Non Offroad shaming now that’s just funny. Been wheeling moderately now for 3 years and I must say it’s been good times but I’m getting burned out. Can’t get myself to spend anymore on this shit. And I’ve spent quite a bit of cash.
Took the Jeep in for the steering box and a fuel line warranty...
Last week I ran the Rubicon Trail with @OBJLU. It is an amazing off road experience as it has amazing views, lots and lots of obstacles, slabs, drops, tight squeezes. Trees that just love to bang up your panels and hard top (ask me how I know).
Thankfully we made it through with no breakage...
