Any interest in getting out tomorrow (Saturday) Jun 12?

I'm just looking for some light or not so light trail activity. I haven't been out in over a month. Some place in the mountains would be good. Big Bear or the Gorman area or such.

You ever wheeled hungry valley orv park? Use to go there just about every weekend when I was a kid! My brother and I used to race motocross on their track back in the day too. They also used to have a pretty big 4x4 specific section near the track too.

I can’t go tomorrow but let me know if you’re interested in doing John Bull and/or Holcomb Creek at Big Bear sometime, preferably during a weekday to avoid the weekend crowds.

Back in the 70s we would go there before it was a state park, no rangers, people doing their own thing. I hadn't been there since the 70s until I passed thru there coming from Millers trail to Alamo Mtn and out, just a couple months ago.

Right on. Back in the 70s my aunts dad used to take my aunts and uncles in the jeep up to lake pyru! We found the trail one year and followed it up for a while until we lost it. It was a cool ride!

Unfortunately I don't think my trail run was what you had in mind. I was on the Pacific Crest Trail... running :CWL:

@Rubenmora1 and I connected for a run on Cleghorn USFS 2N47, from I-15 exit 129, east to CA 138 at Silverwood Lake near the Chamise Cove boat launch. We met last year on the Las Vegas Red Rock Canyon run, where some of the group stopped at the White Castle in Jean on the way back, for their gastrointestinal fortitude test, a memory they probably won't forget.

We got our feet wet at the power line tower. It looked like a suspension commercial for articulation. But so was every chute and siding trail we took... and we took everyone we saw. We had a blast. Best time on a trail in a long time.

Shortly after the first side trail at the power line tower, we did another side trail, where I didn't get 10 yards before I did the first trail modification to my jeep. The tire caught the rear edge of the liner and ripped the liner and fender off. It had been rubbing on the liner a bit over the past year and had started pulling the edge in toward the tire. I guess stuffing the tire one more time was enough.

Some of the chutes on this trail had some pretty good pucker factor.

On one chute that looked like a bobsled run, I did another mod to my front fender. The mirror looks similar.
