Hello all

I am going to put this here. I already posted over in the tuner, etc. section but it seems like maybe know one else is using a TD3. So I thought it might be seen and appreciated here. Admin. can move it if inappropriate.

So My current thoughts. The screens and all the little PIDS are cool and it allows you to set your own parameters of what you want to watch. So far the one suggestion I would have for Superchips would be to please provide a table list of abbreviations. You can usually figure out what they are by gong to that specific PID set up. But it would be nice if you could just refer to the manual and know what each abbreviation stood for. Like it refers to PIDS, or PID all through the manual but never once tells you what it stands for. I know what they are now, but still not 100% on what it stands for "Picture in Display" maybe. Oh well.

All the functions of the touch screen function very nicely. And it not only jumps to diff. settings for the PIDS, but it also slides to diff. screens and it all seems to work very well. After you make a change it takes around 6 or 7 seconds to load, sometimes longer, but nothing crazy. You can adjust lighting, screen colors, backgrounds. Lots of thrown in little tid bids to kinda personalize things. I should add that it does a lot more, but have not gotten in to all of it yet.

Of course you have the one screen with the pitch and roll, witch if you have a sport like me is kinda nice because the sport does not come with a inclinometer. I was using an app. on my phone but don't have to now. Of course this is not necessarily the screen you want to look at tall the time. I will post a pic. of the screen I set up this morning. If you have a Rubicon there are some other useful features you Ruby owners might like.

Anyway it is useful, it's cool, and it's fun. And if you get board with the look you can change things up.

Really though for me the biggest thing is the tune. Not because the wrangler is a hot rod, ok the 392 is. But because the 2.0LT has always put a smile on my face from the first test drive. And it isn't just the added HP and torque. (An additional 18HP & 29.2 LBS of Torque in the performance tune) It is the overall tune. They tweaked the trans shift points and of course changed the fuel mapping and boost mapping for the better for sure. Even in economy tune I noticed a diff. in how it drove. Less throttle more go. Another words, quicker throttle response, shifts down quicker and comes under boost faster and smoother.

The way it was explained to me by the engineer Mike, if you looked at the stock boost mapping on the computer screen it would look like a set of steps at a side view. Now FCA engineers did this supposedly for fuel mileage. And it of course doesn't drive like it's going up steps it is smooth a responsive even stock as many can attest to who own a 2.0LT. However the way they have it mapped now is noticeable better. More power and torque, comes on faster, smother, pulls harder and so far I am seeing around 2 miles per gallon better fuel mileage as long as your foot is not in it. Also the 2.0LT has almost no turbo lag stock and now it is even less or it feels like it. As good as the 2.0LT was already you would think you couldn't improve on it, but it sure feels like they did. It will jump even better off the line and slam you pretty good into the seat and pull really hard all the way up. But almost more impressive is that with only about a quarter throttle it will pick up and really move and it does it effortlessly.

[I have to use my phone to post pic. so up in a min]

But the gauge I set up this morning shows engine RPM, Lambda, HP, Torque, Baro, Batt. Volts and fuel press, and engine coolant temp.

I don't really hot rod my jeep, I just drive it normal 99% of the time. What I like about this tune is that it's not crazy, I don't feel it is going to hurt the engine or anything on the jeep. It is moderate but very much a noticeable improvement.

I had one in a JK and placed it on the lower left corner of the windshield. It didn't impact visibility any and was easy to see while still watching the road/trail.
