IDK if you've driven one, but when the battery is at 1%, I don't think it's actually at 1%. It'll still shut the engine off at a stop and give you a little push when you let off the brake and hit the gas, just like the "etorque" models do.Yes, but you’d still prefer charging them than carrying around a 500lbs dead weight for no reason other than it possibly catching fire?
I remember the one I rented for a few days used the electric motor a lot more than I expected because I got it "empty" and never charged it in the time I had it lol.
On a sorta related note, I wonder how reliable the etorque models are? From everything I've seen and heard, that implementation of start-stop is actually pretty good.
