TPMS winter setup

Any issue not having TPMS sensors in a winter wheel setup? Picking up my new to me Jeep today and when I was going through it the other day, I noticed there was no reading from the TPMS. I assume the owner did not swap over the sensors, defeats the purpose of having 2 sets of wheels for easy seasonal swapping.

There's no issues other than the TPMS light always being on.
I suspect the previous owner didn't put sensors in the 2nd set of tires (or the wrong sensors). When I swap to my winter tires I do nothing with TPMS other than drive for a few miles until the JL figures out the new sensors.

I picked up a 2nd set of take-off wheels, put winter tires on them with a 2nd set of TMPS sensors. Swapping summer/winter is just a matter of changing tires. Then I drive with the tire pressure screen up and confirm the new TPMS sensors have been detected within 5 miles. Easy-peasy.

I'll double check later today when I pick up the Jeep. Just having the warning is not an issue for me, my Subaru was like that every winter

So just got back from picking up Jeep. No warning light that I can see, but unable to read tire pressures...

Maybe they just swapped tires and there's either no sensors or the incorrect sensors. Anyway, if you have the correct sensors in the tires the JL should detect them and display tire pressures. A tire shop should be able to sort this out quickly if you don't have TPMS tools.

Actually spoke to previous owner about this. He said the warning light was only on for the first start post wheel swap. Once acknowledged, warning no longer shows. That's perfect
