Hi everyone I have a 2020 jlu rubicon without the towing package. I recently purchased a flagstaff 425d pop up trailer that weighs 2500 pounds empty. I was wondering what weight distribution hitches anyone is using to tow something of similar weight, thanks

The FCA receiver and most aftermarket receivers are all rated at 3,500lbs. So you should be golden. Just keep an eye on your tongue weight and make sure your load is balanced with about 10% of the total weight on your tongue weight. (350lbs. Max).

We are getting ready to purchase a pop up as well and I got an education over the weekend that night help you. While our Jeeps can tow up to 3500 lbs you need to remember that is for a stock Jeep AND the total combined weight of the Jeep and trailer can't exceed 8100 lbs.

Since my Jeep is pretty modified I took it to the local dump where they weighed it for me on their scales.
5455 lbs with the following...
Full tank of gas
Full CO2 tank
Me
37s on 17" KMC beadlocks
Roof Rack

My pop up is 2274 DRY and 2440 with 20 gallons of water. Doing the math you can see I'm at 7895 lbs which leaves only 205 lbs for gear and supplies which I would say is really cutting it close.
You may want to think about weighing your Jeep to see where you land.
