Touch Screen Scratch?

So I have the 8.4 touchscreen and noticed after cleaning it yesterday that where I skid forward on songs and where my first bottom icon is on the bottom left here appears to be scratches that look like my finger prints. I guess this is where I commonly touch the screen. Is there a way to buff these out. I would like to put a screen protector on it.

My VW came with a special cloth to clean the screen. I think it is similar to a cleaning cloth they give you when you get new glasses.
