We just got a Newmar Bay Setter 2901. Plan on using the blue ox tow bars and break controller.
Question 1 - Can I use Poison Spyder shackle tabs to tow with?
Question 2 - Does being towed add to the odometer? Not trying to hide extra mileage just wanted to keep up with diff fluid oil change interval.

@thecritter

Flat towing / TOAD does not see the JL/JLU/JT accumulating miles on the odometer.

As for the Spyder Shackle Tabs...... To me ... to use them ..... is not a truly safe alternative. A decent "base plate" is best. Sure you will hear guys using them and similar tabs.... 8-(

There is safe Toading and Toading...

I'm concerned about safe towing and liability.... so I advocate for a baseplate.

You should be keeping a log of all TOAD miles for many reasons.... one of reasons being, so you can do your diff fluid changes, etc. corresponding to actual accumulated miles.
