Hi all, apologies if this was asked before. There's plenty on aftermarket tie rods interfering with aftermarket diff covers, but I couldn't find anything on stock tie rods and diff covers while searching.
I got slid sideways and got high centered on a rock pretty bad a week ago and had to be drug off. Some damage may be from trying to get up, but I know for sure my oil pan was crushed and there are marks on the front differential from when I was pulled back. I am now getting some contact between the stabilizer clamp (it's been relocated) and the front differential for the last 3/8 turn on the wheel at full lock to the left. At left lock the bolt at the axle end of the stabilizer is also rubbing on the tie rod and the stabilizer itself is rubbing the drag link. Somewhere I am also getting some rub from some unused mount for something on the axle and the tie rod. I also badly mangled my axle side drivers sway bar link mount, not sure if they are related.
Any ideas on what to check? Is this as simple as replacing the tie rod? I'm on a budget but willing to buy parts if I know it will fix the issue.
JLU Willys on an XR takeoff suspension with a 1" front spacer added and Mopar LCAs if it matters.
Sorry about the mud, but it does highlight where the rubbing is happening.
I can't wash at my HOA and I came straight home instead of stopping at the coin op since it was throwing a code related to oil pressure (solved after replacing the lower pan)
I also don't have anyone right now to help me wiggle the steering to check stuff, but I can arrange that if needed.
@left lock (minus 3/8 turn):
