Dealer could not find a problem, error codes, or anything abnormal. They performed a refresh of the code on the engine (throttle) module. Problem has not reoccurred; however, it only happened twice in 5k miles. Fingers crossed it won't happen again.

I think it is a glitch with the 'drive by wire' system. I have the same issue; it seems to only happen in neutral. I always double clutch when I downshift, and if I accidentally give it too much revs when I bump the throttle, it will stick at around 4-5K rpms for up to 30 seconds. Its super annoying but I don't think it happens in gears (although I have never completely floored it).
I have the same issue that Loki talked about in my 2019 JL Sport MT. When in neutral, if the engine revs to around 4,000 RPM's the the throttle "sticks" there for a few seconds. Will have dealer look at it when I take it in for the clutch recall next week.
