21 Wrangler, so I think I got the last of the jeeps with the headlight dial and then the interior ambient lighting switch and the one next to it that does nothing.

Has anyone rigged a system to control ambient aftermarket LED lights with the useless dial? The left one already controls dash cupholder footwell and overhead lights so might as well make use of a free aux switch

So, my two dials - on my two ‘21 wranglers and on my previous ‘21 gladiator - are both functional. One controls the dash lighting, the other controls the footwell lighting.

If your dials don’t both work, maybe one is disconnected. Were non-rubicons not equipped with footwell lighting?

They rebound the foot well cup holders overhead lights and dash lights all to a single dial. Kind of annoying but whatever. Thinking about stringing ambient LEDs along the frame and wiring them to the useless dial

Both our 22 non-Rubicons have one dial that works (the right one) and the left doesn’t do shit with the doors on. I thought I read somewhere that the left one does something with the doors off? Idr. Maybe someone can chime in.

I don't have footwell lighting on my Sport S, but my left one controls the cup holder and interior door handle lights.

I do have footwell lighting on our 2021 JL Sport S. The left dial does nothing. The right dial controls dash light level and turns the overhead light off on the low end and on on the high end. The overhead lights do not dim. Neither do the footwell lights.

The footwell lights are supposed to dim with the dial that does nothing, but the difference is really hard to notice because the footwell lights are super dim to begin with.

Ah my favorite thing is these dials are in the opposite positions for me. in my chrysler 300 the left dial is the one that controls the dash/overhead lights. The right one controls the footwell lights lol.
