Hello.
has anyone gone from a teraflex leveling kit
To say the AEV spacer lift ?

teraflex fr 1.5” spacer rr 2.0” from what I know.
AEV 2” all around spacer with the brackets and all

question is , if AEV spacer lift is installed. Will it actually make a difference in the hight ? Visually ?

AEV was one of my suppliers when I had my shop. I can tell you this: AEV IMO is at the top of the food chain. Their stuff WORKS and FITS!

Every early on I used Teraflex and they were good, but did wear out a lot faster if you wheeled often. I did not find that they were as tough as AEV products, meaning they were not as dependable at the 7++ trail level. They are not bad and have a long history of good, but 7++ needs more than good.

I DO NOT build based on Kits because each build is tuned to the customer's wants and needs. I only build for 7++ Moab and the Rubicon.

AEV, JKS, Currie Anti Rock (as much as I despise the Currie Brothers...just ask) and a few other top end manufacturers.

The dude is asking about spacers. The brand literally doesn't matter.

You will see exactly the difference of the extra 1/2" in the front. I believe the AEV kit comes with a few more components than the leveling kit though. Not really worth the swap in my opinion. What's driving you to want to make a change?

Seems like a waste to buy another spacer kit. Yes you'll get shock extensions, which only allow you to keep the stock short travel shocks. You'd gain a half inch in the front but that's hardly noticeable in my opinion. For the same money I'd keep the teraflex spacer and upgrade the shocks to a set of bilstein 5100s. Add longer rear sway bar end links and move the rears to the front (same as installing the AEV kit). More benefits, less work, better ride and handling, improved flex.

Would like a bit higher look without sacrificing daily drivability a bit more clearance.
I like the even out look now with the teraflex leveler I’m on 20’s 33” grappler

I’m narrowing it down to AEV 2.5 or JKS

This is getting confusing lol. How about the Mopar 2” lift with the billsteins w/external reservoirs ?

You could throw some Rubicon springs on with the new AEV kit, it would be super easy since you'll be in there anyway. That will give you another 3/4 - 1" bump or so.

I wouldn't waste my time changing springs and spacers, at that point just but a proper spring. The aev 2.5" kit, jks, or rancho lifts that include geometry correction brackets will have your Jeep riding better than it did stock. If you're getting into springs and spacers in my opinion it's just time to do it right. Even if you don't but a kit and you piece it together like I did, it's easy to do better than any combination of oem springs and spacers. I tried a 2" spacer on our xr and was still disappointed in how soft the oem springs were and how much the rear would sag when I loaded up a few hundred pounds of camping gear. We had already bought the bilstein 5100s to pair with the spacers so I added metalcloak 3.5" springs and their drop brackets. Still had a bit more shimmy over bumps than I liked so we added the yeti flipped drag link and raised track bar mount. The thing rides better than it did stock now and soaks up bumps and potholes without the slightest wiggle.

I’ve gone from the Teraflex leveling to the AEV spring kit with the tuned bilsteins. Hard to beat it for the price. I vote just skip the spacer phase and do the right thing with buying a full kit :)

I had TF 1.5 and swapped to the AEV 2.0. Should have gone with AEV from the start. TF says their lift fixes nose-up/nose-down rake but what I want in a spacer lift is a square four corner lift. That is one of the basic benefits of a spacer lift, no uncertainty on amount of lift and not trying to correct for something that doesn't matter.

Plus AEV has spacers and shock extensions standard in their kit (optional up-sells ith TF). It is much better quality than TF, IMO. TF is slightly cheaper but the additional cost for AEV is worth it.

Even having already bought TF, I am glad that I swapped it out for AEV 2.0 spacer kit and would do it again. Better quality IMO.

AEV 2” spacer kit is great. Love mine. Makes it ride even better. TeraFlex has not been the same since they were sold. highly recommend AEV products.
