So I installed an AEV dual sport lift on my JL Sport this weekend. I inadvertently installed the rear shocks on the front and vice versa. As soon as I took a test drive I knew what I had done hit a small bump and it was way stiffer in the back than it should have been. the shock hit the bottom of its travel. I went straight home and switched them back. rides good now but now I have a TCS light on my dash that I cannot clear. Any ideas I've already tried clearing with JLscan and disconnected my battery to no avail.

^ This. If your steering wheel is off more than a few degrees you will have to center it and then reset it.

Not even close getting it aligned tomorrow.

Not even close getting an alignment tomorrow
That would be your problem. You don’t need an alignment, just adjust the drag link until the steering wheel is centered. The only other thing to adjust is toe which shouldn’t have moved.

Needs an alignment anyway pulls to the right.

What I’m telling you is there’s nothing to align. Unless you have adjustable control arms or track bars the only thing that can be adjusted is the tie rod and drag link. You can adjust both yourself and you should get used to adjusting both anyways.

@rworld1 if this is true, and you don't have adjustable arms or track bar, then @word302 is 100% correct. The only thing you can adjust is toe and then center the wheel. That can be easily done in your garage with a straight edge and a tape measure. Don't waste your time or money at the alignment shop. If you installed the lift, than I am confident you can certainly adjust the drag link to center the steering wheel and the tie rod to adjust the toe in less time you will waste at a shop on a Saturday morning. Hint, do the tie rod first.

If on the other hand it is a fully adjustable kit, some times a shop comes in handy. A lot of people make the mistake of thinking setting the both front uppers the same as each other and both front lowers to the same length as each other is perfect but that is rarely the case if you are trying to get the axle square, centered, and aligned due to variance in the frame between each Jeep. There is also the balancing if pinion angle and caster. There are similar considerations for the rear when full adjustable. - With patience it can be done in your garage. However many get it roughly right and take it to the shop to be dialed in.

The dual sport lift uses square washers with the hole off center to adjust caster. All four (inside, outside, both sides) should have the same orientation. If you didn't torque things down with the weight on the axles you could also induce a pull.

Trackbar is adjustable but I adjusted it during install to keep the axels straight. I wasn't aware the alignment wasn't necessary but as I think about it with the solid axel connected to the control arms there really isn't anywhere for the axel to go in order to "get out of alignment" Ill attempt at adjusting the draglink looks easy enough. Thanks for your reply.
