2019 rubicon with tazer mini.
Have code U0418 - Implausible data received from brake system control module 1.
Dash lit up with ABS, traction control, and cruise control won't work.

Select clear codes, says it cleared. full reboot and code still there. SElect clear codes and scroll through tazer functions and it doesn't show cleared.
Had it at the shop getting new front axle shafts. The battery has been slowly going bad. They said the codes were there because of battery.
Put new battery in while bypasssing aux battery. Everything is good except can't clear codes. I've cleared codes before so (I think) I know what I'm doing.
Went to Oreilys to get them to clear code. Hooked it up and could only find emissions problem.
Went to autozone and they weren't showing any codes nut dash is lit up.
Any help would be appreicated. I think the code is bogus from shop doing axles. Just want to clear it out and see if it's really a problem.
Shop that did the work is 1 1/2 hour away. It will go back if I can't get it cleared.

Thanks,
Corey

If it is what's considered a "permanent' code, no scan tool will be able to clear it. The PCM will self-clear when it sees that the problem no longer exists.

If the problem still exists, then when you clear it, the code comes back right away. Then it comes down to diagnostic time.

For example, if you have a bad ABS sensor, clearing it 1000 times will not have it go away.

Also, unless you bypass the security gateway or pay the fee to get through it, then some places can’t help you at all.

Also, never heard of a permanent code you can’t delete.
