I am headed in for the new steering box on Tuesday. I asked about leaving the Tazer in, and I was told its best to take it out. should I un-marry at the dealership or just physically remove it? I am pretty sure they need to drive some, but will it go into "limp mode" and not let them drive like they need to?

I asked the shop manager the same question when I dropped mine off and he said to un-marry it because they have to flash the computer after installing the new steering box.

Best bet is .... if your JL/JLU is going into the stealership Service Dept., for anything... again anything..... always unmarry the Tazer JL and remove the Tazer JL hardware.... AND be sure to hook the 2 cables back up to the security bypass.

To make this whole process way way easier, do by a SGW Extension Cable from ZAutomotive..
