If you calculate the tire diameter from the manufacturers tire RPM (tire rev per mile) your setting will be correct the first time. No guessing and not tape measure use.

Can you explain a little further?
Your tire diameter = 20168.1 / RPM

If you leave the Tazer plugged in would the dealer be able to scan the vehicle (for codes for example), or is the OBDII port dead with the Tazer plugged in?

@gato

The OBDll port is not "dead" as you put it, if a Tazer JL is installed. (whether the Tazer JL is married or unmarried)

With the Tazer JL and it's built-in security bypass module still attached, the dealership Tech or you, can still, using an OBDll scanner/reader, read and clear codes. This is also true if you have a stand alone bypass module installed at the security bypass gateway.

For the dealership Tech and his wiTECHll......, (that is what he will use) you will need to / must unmarry and remove the Tazer JL and reconnect the 2 cables to the security gateway.

By the way... Leaving a programmer or a tuner attached to a vehicle that enters the dealership grounds for a Service Department, visit..... even for an oil change or something simple... is very very stupido to do. I'm not going to rant here why.... do your homework...

So easy in say 3 mins., to unmarry and remove a Tazer JL if you have an SGW Extension Cable in place...

I had great great difficulty removing and installing stock the SWG cable before going to the dealer for warrantee work. So - I bought another SWG extension cable and I leave it connected to the SWG. Then before going to the dealer I unmarry and remove the Tazer and connect the two cables together. No more dealing with the SWG mate and unmate.

Yup ....... just do not leave the SWG Extension Cable dangling / hanging down when the JL goes to the dealer ...

Tuck it up and out of sight. The cable almost looks factory.

Probably 95% of Techs/guy's/gal's looking up there would not even realize the extension cable is not just a stock cabling.

Again, do not just leave it danglng .... tuck it up.

They each press in just slightly. It doesn't take much effort. Don't try to push them in at the same time. Only do one at a time. Once you have one loose just pull it down just enough to clear the connector then tackle the other.

Daniel,

I'm no Z Automotive expert. When I was ordering the Tazer, it sounded like the Lite was all I needed. All I really wanted was to set my tire size for the 35s I had just installed. The Dealership wanted a one time $125 fee for doing it.

However, after I started reading up on the Tazer in general it had me intrigued. So instead of being frugal, I dropped the extra on the Mini.

But to tell you the truth, I'm not exactly certain where the Lite functionality stops and the Mini starts. I do think there is more non-live features in the Mini. But I do know none of the live features are in the Lite.

Jay
Actually the lite does have some live features like remembering the last state of the start/stop button. Winch mode, cool down, rock crawl and line lock to mention a few work with the lite but it must remain plugged into your security gateway plugs
