Hey all. Did some major searching, watched all the videos and had a ton of texting with ZAutomotive but still have an issue that no one has been able to resolve yet.

I have been sent two JL Minis, have followed all directions perfectly and when I plug both into the SGW (Two black connectors above the OBD port), neither would provide blinking lights or operate on the EVIC.

I have confirmed with ZAuto that the proper versions are uploaded on both. I have verified the pins are clean and not bent. Both units were brand new units sent direct from ZAuto. I do get a check engine light when the SGW is plugged into the JL Mini and system states the SGW is not communicating (I can understand that but seems the JL Mini(s) would alleviate that).

I have a 2021 JLUR manufactured 9/21 with the Xtreme Recon package, the upgraded Alpine system and have only put in a lift, wheels and tires and a Switch-Pro with some lighting. I removed the electronic front sway bar which is mainly why I bought the JL Mini to turn the lights off.

ZAuto is struggling with this and feels it's vehicle specific but as a Toyota Master tech and shop owner of an offroad/overland shop, my troubleshooting seems to point toward the JL Mini. Per the person on the other end of the text at ZAuto, they are going to get with their engineer but wanted to see if anyone out there has seen this. Appreciate your time!

Marry the two tazers to another JL to confirm it’s them or your Jeep.

Figured it out! Fuse F05, the SGW fuse was blown. Why didn't I check that? Well, the vehicle gave zero codes or idea that that fuse was blown and the SGW was inop. This probably explains a battery drain issue we've been having as the EVIC would stay on with the vehicle locked and key away from it. Been trying to figure out what that's been but haven't had much time. So far the EVIC has been working normally.

Bump...

Reminder.....occasionally, do check and make sure all is firmly pressed down in the power distribution center (PDC).

Dealt with this issue on a JT the other day.. A local JT owner contacted me and said he could not get his JT to respond to the Tazer JL Mini that he just purchased and was trying to install.

Anyway, he came over with his JT and I attempted to install the Tazer JL..... and it was a no go.

Checked fuse
F05 in the PDC and it was not blown but it was not pressed down enough to make proper contact.

Once F05 was pressed down the install of the Tazer JL proceeded without issue..

AWESOME TIMING! I just re-geared and changed the main battery. Disconnected the baby battery then my Tazer stopped working. Pulled hair out, updated the Tazer…nothing. As if it wasn’t seen by the jeep, then I read your F05 comment. You saved me! Thank you! All working with a new fuse.

Oh dam, I thought I was reading 2-11-2023 but it was last year 2022. Timing is not what I thought but still helped a bunch!
