Just curious, is the light show hard on the Jeep’s lights? Could it cause them to fail quick?

I doubt it with the LED's. First, I don't think it would cause them any strain, but also 2nd, you'll use them a few times for kicks and then will forget about them unless you have a roadside emergency.

The key fob sequence to use the light shows is in the instruction manual.

Also, they only work if the trans. is in park. In order to use them while in drive, you must go through the appropriate hoops to get Z Automotive to activate that capability.

I have not programed one of my right hand controls to one of the light shows because I did not want to activate one while blazing down the highway... or worse, my wife does it and has no idea what is going on. (funny, not funny)

There is some misinformation in this 4+ year old thread.. i.e., ZAutomotive does not activate the Light Show In Motion feature.... the Tazer JK MIni does it for him or herself.

In regard to Light Show In Motion, the guy or gal can enable it but there are some important caveats..

Read this carefully and take heed...
Enabling the light show for use in-motion: Z Automotive cannot be held responsible for any mis-use of the light show, including the street use that can be interpreted as the impersonation of a police officer. Check local laws as to which lights can be used, in case you are using it legally as a police officer, fire responder, EMS, construction, etc. Remember, it’s a FELONY to impersonate a police officer!

How to enable Light Show in Motion:
First, install ZPU from the www.zautomotive.com support page. Run ZPU. Click “configure”. When the light show configuration page is finished loading, press ctrl+shift+L and a checkbox for light show in motion will appear. Check the checkbox, approve the disclaimer, and you’re all set.

--> Keep in mind that the light show can be activated instantly by having the high beam stalk forward and pressing the cruise+ button while cruise is turned off. Since this CAN happen accidentally, it’s recommended to not have light show in motion always checked unless you’re a police officer.
