I recently purchased this switch panel off of Amazon for my Jeep. It didn't come with very good directions, and some reviews say to wire it differently, so it's not draining the battery 24/7. Has anybody else out there purchased a similar panel? The lights I currently use have 3 wires. Would I connect each white wire to each pod connector at the bottom? How do I keep this from draining my battery?

Most of the time, these will drain the battery because the LED's are always on when you wire it directly to the battery.

You have 2 options:

  1. Wire this panel into the Jeep where the 12vdc in is only alive when the vehicle is in ACC or RUN.
  2. Remove the LED pwr wires and connect them to your parking lights, so the switches are only lit up when the parking lights are on. If you choose this option, you can wire the panel directly to the battery without issues.
