Ive hit a wall. I have two extended warranties one through mopar and one i purchased on top of mopars. A delaer has most likely damaged my jeep. They have replaced rear shocks 4 times and they've failed a 5th time. The 4th time I called them out for a falling boot on my front end drag link and they hammered the crap out of my frame, pitman arm and drag link in the process. I refuse to take it back but I feel the dealership needs held liable for the damage. Ive been brushed off by jeep wave, stellantis and the NCDS. They used my purchsed warranty to replace all these parts along with a clock spring and now I think im experiencing ghost miles. I even took it to another jeep accepted mechanic (stellantis requested) and he said if the problem persists buy aftermarket shocks admitting they are shot again and there is pulling in the front end. The jeep now has consistent bump steer, sloppy front and rear. This same dealer did an oil change when they replaced the shocks and didnt put the oil filter back tight and all the oil leaked out of it unknowingly. How can I get this handled as now im going to have to spend thousands to repair their damage and possibly a new engine im sure. It's a 2021 2.0L turbo jeep wrangler sport.

how about some photos of all the damage and your suspension parts? shocks are super easy to replace and if they are stock shocks you can find new take offs for next to nothing. On a JL shocks are simple to replace. hard to believe all the oil leaked out without you noticing it right away. a few drops of oil seem like a lot when it is underneath your vehicle. if in fact all the oil leaked out get a lawyer.

I know it doesn't seem like much but my main concern is possible damage to the splined sector shaft from the hammer blows. We noticed a substantial amount of oil under the jeep now it wasnt all of it but when we changed it upon finding there was maybe only 2qts of oil that came out. I plan to update the shocks all the way around though.

those shocks can be had for free and you would be even better off to upgrade to some Bilsteins or similar shocks..the hammer blows is common and how you remove the drag link joint from the pitman arm..probably should not have hit the frame but must have been a swing and a miss. when I do it I hold another 3lb hammer on the opposite side the pitman arm trying to hold it more solid. I would make sure everything is properly torqued if it is sloppy steering pay attention to the track bar torq..those for some reason are often overlooked and not up to torq specs

So you are going to be on your 5th set of rear shocks? Crazy! How many miles and is it stock? I had mine for 6+ years and only use it for camping/offroad trips, so only 36K miles, but never any issues with factory shocks.

I wouldnt worry about the hammer marks at all, pretty common to remove the drag link that way. Maybe hit the frame area with some paint to cover the bare metal. As for the shocks upgrade to aftermarket for sure. The Bilstein 5100s are a great quality shock for a reasonable price from stock.

Yep, they changed them the first time around 31k miles and thats when all the issues and sloppy steering started. They changed them 2nd time at 38k, 3rd time around 42k and the 4th set went on around 48k and they are failed again at 50k 😫 it's been a nightmare. Mind you this thing hasnt even been able to be off road with the constantly failing factory parts then they treat my front end like its in their personal garage to hit with hammers. Plus all the work done was through my private service warranty so now I have to pay out my own money to upgrade and fix it.

Great advice here already, follow it and move on. Buy a set of good aftermarket Bilstein 5100 shocks and install them, it's an easy job to DIY.

How many miles are on the Jeep? OK, last post I read you have 50k currently on it? I read nothing in your posts about why you would need a new engine? Not seeing where everything is loose and defective either? You state the can never go offroad due to constantly failing parts...worn out shocks never stopped anyone from wheeling. Upgrades are always out of our own pockets, who else would pay for our upgrades? If warranty is not fulfilling their contracted duty then you need to pursue them.

Usually extended warranties are a waste of money and worded in such a way as to be a pita to use...no matter the vehicle brand. You're usually better served to have a bank account with money saved ONLY for these type of problems. Maybe time to cancel and get your residual warranty money back?
