I have a Superwinch EXP10si 10000lb Winch with Synthetic Rope - S102738
I can not get the remote to pair with the winch.I did replace the battery in the remote and it will not pair.
The instructions tell you to
(1)Press and release the control activation switch on the winch
(2)Press and hold the momentary switch until remote socket light starts flashing(I can not get the socket light to flash) to complete the pairing process.
I removed the winch from power hoping for some sort of reset to no avail.
I did contact [email protected] and they tell me they do not have any schematics for the winch.

This is a pre-Westin buyout unit?

Do you have a link to the manual?

Hmm. Don't know. But my 12k superwinch has a wireless remote different from yours. You have to hold both remote buttons for 3 seconds to turn the remote on. Then 3 seconds again to turn it off. There was no pairing required.

Might try that?

They told me this
That is an older remote that was made by Superwinch LLC which they went out of business at the end of 2018. They discontinued their winches along with parts prior to them going out of business. We acquired the naming rights in 2019. I do apologize for the inconvenience. I don't think there is a way programming them. Have you checked the reciever in the control box to make sure it is connected. It can also mean the receiver has gone bad, If that is the case you will need a new wireless remote kit. I hope this information helps you out.
Thank you

Ricardo

I can NOT get the remote to pair.I replaced the battery. When I press the button on the with it lights up blue and then I press it again to try to get it to flash(pairing Mode) and the light just turns off.
If I hole the buttons down on the remote they just flash blue.

Thanks That is exactly how it works once paired.

I assume @D00KEY has the SX series I have. Out BT remotes are preprogrammed.

On ours, the wired remote socket and wireless modules are wired to the winch controller with the same connections. There is a jumper from the power cable terminal to provide power to the socket/wireless.

I wonder then if it's as simple as running power to his wireless module.

That is why I am hoping for a schematic mine is integrated in the winch with lots of wires and no idea which wire goes where.

I mean... I'm game to tear into it if you are. 😁
From the reviews, it looks like the thing is fully potted. Nice for waterproofing, WTF for service.
