I recently spray-painted patio furniture in the garage. I had covered my Rubicon with multiple car covers. However, I didn't notice that one of the covers slipped a little on the hood and exposed it to "paint dust". Looking for recommendations for removing the dust without harming the paint job and sealent.
Thanks

Cleaner wax if you don't mind rubbing or bug/tar remover if you want an easier/faster job.

Thanks to you all.
Well, I took a different approach. My first inclination was to use a clay bar. You all confirmed the approach. Thanks.
My son has had wraps and detailing done on his truck and motorcycle. He said the detail shops always use rubbing alcohol as a cleaner. I also noted that instructions for applying stickers say to use rubbing alcohol. I decided to try it and cut it 50% with water. It worked perfectly! Minimum pressure and it took off the paint dust and didn't scratch the clear coat.

Depending on what type of sealant you had on your vehicle, you may have taken that off with the alcohol, too. Might want to polish/seal the affected area again if you are concerned about keeping the paint protected. Just a thought.

Isopropyl alcohol is used to strip ALL products off of the paint surface before applying sealant or wax. You’ll need to reapply any products.
