So I realize their are probably several threads semi touching on this issue...but I didn't see one calling it out specifically. So I apologize if their are already several threads on this topic. So After looking at several threads I see that numerous people are getting stuck in JS status. I am new to ordering Jeep's as I have generally bought used Jeeps. So what I have gathered from reading is that:

A) Your Jeep has been selected for some uber secret extra quality Control testing

B) Your Jeep has been held back along with a number of other jeeps in order to make sure there are no manufacturing issues with this build type....this makes little sense to me as my build doesn't use the Turbo engine...

C) Your Jeep is being held back because there are no rail cars or storage in the rail yard to release your jeep at this time.

D) Jeep employees are actually joy riding my jeep right now

E) Status codes don't mean a damn thing...and they just try to tell me a new status every time I check in to make me feel like something is happening but now they can't do that any longer....

Just curios what everyone else thinks the reason is for so many vehicles in the JS status of...it's doing nothing but sitting there.

Hey Mud...I'm stuck in JS as well. As of today..been there for 19 days. My sense of frustration comes from the fact the vehicle is built and is probably just sitting there. I've been getting the "should be any day now" line from the Jeep Cares folks. Not their fault but it does get frustrating after a while. The other frustration that I have is that I had been told by (more than one) Jeep Cares rep that I could escalate after 14 days in JS. Day 15 I attempted to escalate, they then told me that they couldn't because it hadn't been 45 days since the order date. I would have to wait. I've checked in since then and have been told by a different person that it would have to be at least 45 days from order and then a total of 30 days in JS before they could escalate. They have mostly been consistent but sometimes not so much. I was told that my order (overall) would take between 4-8 weeks. I guess I can't complain since I'm still well within the time frame given by the dealer. Original order date was 5/1/2018.

Just found out I'm still in JS, currently for about 45 days... FCA case escalation just came back with an semi-automated stating (almost literally) - "Congratulations, your Jeep is in storage", and did not offer any timeline, ETA, etc.

Been waiting for 17 weeks now, it might be time to reconsider this...
