Hey all I need a little help. I’m trying to install my rock hard step sliders and the front body bolt head stripped out on me and it’s pretty rounded off. Any ideas on how to get this out? It says they should be taught to 80 foot pounds but on the other side it took a lot more effort than that to get it off it also had red Loctite on it which made it really hard. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Heat the bolt to 500 degrees (making sure nothing will melt around it of course ?) to loosen the locktite. I quite simply use a $20 chef torch from Amazon. You can pound a 12 point socket on rounded bolts making sure the points dig into the bolt well and then remove as normal. If that doesn’t work, then perhaps a little welding job is in store for you…
